With the success and the enormous reach Broadway4Biden established with the 2020 Presidential Election, our efforts continued with the two 2020 Georgia Senate run-off with the main focus being Phone Banking in the state.

What we did!

In Our America: A Concert for the Soul of the Nation

Virtual Concert that streamed for free on Wednesday, 11/21/2020 and was streamed via our media partner Now This’ YouTube + Facebook. It has been viewed over 500,000 times. Clips from it have been viewed across platforms over 100,000 times. Including an exclusive music video featuring Jennifer Hudson. Fundraising effort raised over $100k for The Biden Victory Fund.

DIVAS FOR DEMOCRACY: UNITED WE SLAY

Hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Keltie Knight and RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Nina West, Divas For Democracy: United We Slay was a variety show where the divas of Broadway joined forces with the divas of the drag world to encourage participation in our democracy. Broadway divas sang some of the most iconic musical theatre songs while their drag counterparts matched their vocal prowess with lip sync passion and style. Special segments featured LGBTQIA+ activists in a nonpartisan fashion to promote the importance of the LGBTQIA+ community engagement and voter participation.

Divas for Democracy streamed exclusively on StageIt, October 18th, 2020 at 8 PM EST.

Show was developed by Broadway for Biden and was Executive Produced by Drag Out the Vote.

Virtual event celebrating our right to vote! Was an unbelievable, star studded event, one that energized all of us and got our sights set on the finish line.

PHONE BANKING

Phone banks were held every Monday night since July 27, 2020. Over 1,670 volunteers participated in the 15 sessions, and we made 33,982 calls and reached 4,505 voters. That’s not including our Uni for Biden initiative of current university students and alumni encompassing social video content (testimonials) and phone banking at University of Michigan, Penn State, Northwestern, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and Carnegie Mellon University.

Non-partisan voter registration initiative amplified by Broadway for Biden staff members; 1,000+ participants and 43,000 visits to Vote.gov in one night

Initiative of current university students and alumni encompassing social video content (testimonials) and phone banking at University of Michigan, Penn State, Northwestern, and Carnegie Mellon University.

  • Produced over 30 videos with top-tier talent on topics of Poll Power (the power of voting), My First Time (first time voters), Roll Call (getting out the message), Why Joe? (discussion on why to vote Biden).

Broadway Sings

Concert-documentary, centered around voting activation, filmed live from the Kraine Theater in the East Village of NYC with COVID-compliance measures in place, socially distanced musicians, and no audience. The concert was streamed on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 7PM ET on YouTube for free, with the option of donating to the Biden Victory Fund.
